Welcome to the Frisco Engage Program!

Developed in partnership with UNT faculty and local industry partners, Frisco Engage provides students with the opportunity to grow their personal and career skills while earning their degree. Before graduating, each student will be well versed in our 6 personal development areas and 6 professional development areas, making them an ideal candidate in an increasingly competitive workforce.

Engage at Your Pace

Throughout your time as a UNT student, you will have opportunities in class, on-campus, and off-campus to engage in all 12 areas. Each time you complete an opportunity relevant to Frisco Engage, you will log in to our Canvas page and log a short reflection. Once you have completed all 12 reflections, you will be eligible for a graduation cord.

Students may begin the Frisco Engage program as early as their first semester at UNT at Frisco and continue participating at any time before graduation. Modules completed in one semester automatically carry over to future semesters, allowing students to progress through the program at their own pace.

Personal Development Track

The personal development track focuses on areas that are essential for your individual success in and out of the classroom. Engaging in the 6 personal modules ensures all students are prepared to take care of themselves, manage their personal finances, and engage in society in impactful ways.

Creating connections for support and celebration

Financial Literacy

Managing economic resources effectively to reduce financial stress and reinforce positive financial attitudes

Engaging as an active citizen and providing positive contributions to society

Career Readiness Track

The career readiness track focuses on the individual career journey of each student. By working through the 6 modules in order, students will graduate from UNT with skills and experiences wanted by employers, as well as the ability to communicate their abilities and talents.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Frisco Engage events are advertised through the Frisco Engage Canvas page, our online event calendar, and through our social media accounts. Each event will be advertised with the icons corresponding to a specific module of the Frisco Engage program. 

Each time you submit a reflection or assignment for a module, our Student Services Team will update Canvas to reflect which modules you have completed.

The Frisco Engage program can be started as soon as you start your first semester of classes at UNT at Frisco, and can be completed up until 2 weeks before your graduation date. Modules completed one semester will carry over to the next semester.
