Student organizations at UNT at Frisco seek to support students through co-curricular development and leadership development opportunities, creating space for students to have a voice, impact, and make changes to their campus. All students are invited to join or start an organization of their own!

Student organizations are stepping stones for students to become leaders of tomorrow. Some of the benefits and features in UNT at Frisco student organizations are:

Leadership Opportunities

All student organizations at UNT at Frisco must consist of a President or equivalent, and a secondary leadership role. However, many organizations have several leadership roles focusing on recruiting, marketing, event planning, and other areas of expertise. Student organizations are a great way for students to build transferrable skills tailored to their needs that give them the cutting edge when applying for jobs after graduation. If you are interested in assuming or creating a leadership role, talk to the existing leaders of your organization as well as the Student Services Coordinator.

Technology Integration and Accessibility

Student organizations at UNT at Frisco are managed through Canvas in order to streamline important communications for students. Students receive notifications about their organizations in the same platform that your instructors use to communicate with you and integrates organization meetings into your academic calendar as well. Student leaders can easily manage messaging, membership management, and more!

Available Spaces and Resources

When available, student organizations can rent classroom and conference spaces for their organizations to host meetings and events, as well as borrow laptops and adapters for presentations and using Zoom. Student organizations can begin the room reservation process by emailing Marlena.Jordan@unt.edu to request the room reservations. Students will receive a confirmation email to verify all reservations.

All other equipment can be checked out at the Spark Makerspace FRLD 120. Additionally, student organizations can request funds from the Student Services department to help fund events, giveaways, food, and other initiatives to help your student organization succeed!
