UNT at Frisco Room Reservation Guide

All UNT at Frisco spaces are primarily used for academic and instructional purposes. If the space is already reserved for class, instructional or academic purposes, it will not be available for other uses. Requests cannot be confirmed until two weeks after the start of the semester. Check the start date of upcoming semesters.

Room Set-Up

All classrooms are set for academic use. During your reservation, rooms may be reconfigured but must be reset by the end of the reservation time. UNT at Frisco staff can assist with room setup on a case-by-case basis, as staffing and storage resources are limited. 

Note: Fees are associated with UNT at Frisco staff assisting with room sets (see fee schedule below).

All classrooms are equipped with whiteboards, projectors and screens/monitors.  If videoconferencing is required, there are specific rooms that have these capabilities. Please inquire when speaking with your event coordinator.

You may only use the furniture that is inside the room you have reserved.  Please do not borrow furniture from other rooms.

Additional Fees

  • Clean-up or room reset: $100 per hour, billed in 1-hour increments
  • After-hours staff: $100 per hour, billed in 1-hour increments
  • Security fees: $50/per hour (4 hour minimum), varies by event
  • Custodial fees: varies by event

Unavailable Dates

  • First two weeks of classes (until after Census Day)*
  • Final exam period*
  • Sundays: UNT at Frisco is not open on Sundays.
  • During UNT holidays and closures

Events Outside of Normal Business Hours

UNT at Frisco staff members must be on site any time any part of the building is in use. Both UNT (internal) and non-UNT (external) events will be charged for events outside of normal business hours.

Events outside of normal business hours will incur additional charges, and business hours fluctuate by semester and location. The base charge for events outside of normal business hours is $100 per hour, charged in 1-hour increments.

In addition, these events may incur security and custodial charges.

After this form is submitted, a UNT at Frisco staff member will contact you to discuss the details of your event and verify business hours for the day of your event.


UNT at Frisco requires parking permits to park on campus at all times.  Purchase a permit.

Guest Wi-Fi

Guest W-Fi is available throughout UNT at Frisco. Please let us know how many guests need codes, no less than 7 days in advance. Passes are only required for non-UNT participants, and one code is required per person.


Food can be purchased from any local vendor (restaurant or catering).  Please make sure the vendor/restaurant provides silverware or service utensils (plates, cups, napkins, utensils) as UNT does not provide any of these items. You are responsible for meeting any food deliveries and transporting food items to the room. Frisco staff will not sign for food deliveries.

Food trucks: Vendor must provide a copy of vendor/business license, food permit for event date and valid certificate of liability insurance stating UNT as additionally insured.

Alcohol on campus: Prior written approval is required to serve alcohol on campus and security is required for events serving alcohol.  Our event coordinator will discuss this process with you.

UNT at Frisco Building Rules

Neither the licensee nor any person attending the event shall bring or possess any animals (unless they are service animals), pets, weapons, contraband, explosives, fireworks, alcoholic beverages or controlled substances, or other dangerous materials or substances without the prior written consent of UNT.

No items may be pinned/stapled/tacked/nailed/glued/taped or attached to the walls in any manner. No smoke or fog machines – no confetti – no glitter – no silly string – no streamers – no sand – no sawdust – no powder – no open flames/candles/incense allowed on UNT campus. No smoking of any kind:  UNT is a smoke-free campus.

External & Community Event Insurance Requirement

The external host (licensee) will provide commercial general liability insurance — not to be less than $1,000,000.00 per occurrence and $2,000,000.00 aggregate  — naming the University of North Texas System and the University of North Texas as additional insured. A certificate of insurance is to be provided to UNT with the signed Use Agreement; and it is a condition to create a contract to use a UNT at Frisco space. Licensee agrees to waive subrogation in favor of the University of North Texas System.
