About UNT at Frisco Orientation

In order to assist you with your transition to UNT at Frisco, all new students are required to attend an orientation session prior to enrolling in classes. During orientation, you will have the chance to learn about university resources and receive academic advising in preparation for registering for classes.

Students that are pursuing a UNT at Frisco degree (see list below), will need to register for a UNT at Frisco orientation session.

  • Business Integrated Studies - Sport Entertainment Management (BBA)
  • Computer Science (BS)
  • Consumer Experience Management (BS)
  • General Business (BS) *Must be approved, speak to G. Brint Ryan College of Business Advisor for more information*
  • Information Technology (BA)
  • Integrative Studies
  • Interdisciplinary Studies - Early Childhood Education with ESL Certification (BS)
  • Interdisciplinary Studies - Early Childhood Education with bilingual Certification (BS)
  • Journalism - Public Relations (BA)
  • Logistics & Supply Chain Management (BS)
  • Marketing (BBA)
  • Marketing - Professional Selling (BBA)
  • Psychology (BA)

If your Major is not listed you will attend a Denton campus orientation.

Spring 2021 Orientation

Our Spring 2021 orientations will be a mix of online modules and a 2 hour registration session via Zoom. Dates and times are below.

Orientation Fee

Due to ongoing concerns with the COVID-19 pandemic, we have re-evaluated our orientation fee. Students will be asked to pay part of their orientation fee upfront and then will be assessed the balance to their student account after they attend orientation. New transfer students will be asked to pay $15.00 when they sign up for orientation. A $30.00 charge will be posted to each student's account at MyUNT to be paid with tuition and fees. The fee includes orientation program expenses, UNT t-shirt, participant materials, administrative costs, and year-long orientation activities. Payment arrangements for the orientation fee must be made at the time of registering for the session to secure your spot.

  • Disability Accommodations

    Students who intend to register with the Office of Disability Access (ODA) under the terms of ADA/504, or who request accommodations during their orientation session, should check the appropriate boxes on their orientation registration materials.   • Parking

    Even though Spring 2021 orientation is virtual, you may still need to visit UNT at Frisco in person. Parking is Free at the UNT New College at Frisco and available at the building’s address 2811 Internet Boulevard, Frisco, TX 75034 – or the 2nd floor of the parking garage directly across the street.
