Dianne Gravley, Ph.D.

Professor of Communications

Wednesdays from 3:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M.

About Dianne: Dr. Gravley receive her Ph.D in Strategic Communication from Regent University. She is an alumna of University of North Texas, receiving her M.S. in Communication Studies in 2012. Dr. Gravley uses narrative theory throughout her courses as she believes that through telling stories and examining their own life stories, students see the relevance of course concepts in their lives.

Currently, Dr. Gravley teaches Professional Communication, Organizational Communication, and Introduction to Communication. Because she believes that meaningful learning—the kind that becomes part of an individual, a function of the way he or she thinks and sees the world—occurs outside the classroom, she uses project-based learning, searching for real world problems for students to solve, using course concepts and experiences they have gained within the classroom.
